Family Engagement Manager & Licensed Social Worker
Kirsti Osborne, LSW, MSW leads DSACO’s family support programs, medical and community outreach efforts, and community access funds, all while keeping our member database organized and up to date. In her role, she’s passionate about building meaningful connections between families, medical professionals, and community partners to make sure people with Down syndrome have access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.
Kirsti is driven by her passion for empowering families and helping them feel supported, informed, and included every step of the way. She approaches her work with warmth and compassion, striving to create a welcoming community where every family feels valued and seen. Her goal is to ensure that families are not only connected to DSACO’s programs and services, but also to helpful community resources that can make a difference in their everyday lives.
Kirsti joined DSACO in October 2019 as a part-time licensed social worker, focusing on supporting families through emergent situations and coordinating DSACO’s annual Adopt-A-Family Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Wright State University in 2013 and became a licensed social worker that same year. In May 2021, Kirsti graduated with a 4.0 from The Ohio State University’s Advanced Standing Master of Social Work Program, where she concentrated on Community and Social Justice. Following her graduation, she moved into a full-time role with DSACO, expanding her efforts to empower and support DSACO families across central Ohio.
Today, Kirsti continues to strengthen DSACO’s mission by supporting families across central Ohio and ensuring everyone has a place to feel connected, encouraged, and empowered.
