  • DSACO will continue to offer the same programs, services, and events you know and love for the Down syndrome community in Central Ohio. ElevateDD will support DSACO families by providing advocacy and innovative solutions for the unmet needs of the developmental disability community in Ohio. DSACO families will continue to benefit from the solutions provided.

  • Yes, of course! ElevateDD was formed so that we can continue to provide solutions and services that address needs of people with Down syndrome and their families. This new platform gives us the chance to serve both our families and the broader developmental disability community. We want your involvement and we want advocates for the Down syndrome community like you. Sign up to stay informed and involved with ElevateDD!

  • DSACO will remain focused on the Down syndrome community and their needs. The ElevateDD platform will create space for statewide advocacy while allowing DSACO to preserve the dedicated Down syndrome organization our DSACO families value most.

  •  No, this will not change how your charitable donation is used. We believe strongly in a donors’ rights, which includes honoring a donor’s intentions when a gift is made. Every gift you make will be used for the purposes stated when making the gift. That means all gifts made to support DSACO will be used to make those programs successful. Likewise, gifts to Adult Literacy Ohio or ElevateDD will be used for those purposes. We are extremely grateful for your generosity – it’s what makes the work possible! 

  •  No, this will not change how the Columbus Buddy Walk funds are directed. The Columbus Buddy Walk will remain a DSACO fundraising program and event, and a celebration of the DSACO community of families. The money raised will be used just as it always has – to provide important, high-quality support and services to people with Down syndrome and their families.
