Sara Rainey
Program Manager of Education & School Age Services
Sara joined the DSACO team in 2025 as the Program Manager of Education and School Age Services. In this role, she coordinates education programming like the Summer Learning Academy and IEP Kits, as well as classroom initiatives like Book Bundles and Classroom Packets. She also supports our School Age families with any assistance they may need, especially regarding IEPs and education services. She is looking forward to continuing to expand offerings to School Age families through opportunities such as quarterly resource meetings and social gatherings for school-aged children.
Sara graduated from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in public administration, with a focus on nonprofit programming and community building. She was excited to return home to Columbus and has worked with both City Year Columbus and the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department in program development, student support services, and summer camps.
Sara credits her passion for the developmental disabilities community to her parents. Since her younger sister was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2002, they have been vocal advocates for inclusion and increasing opportunities for people with disabilities. In her free time, Sara can be found either reading, coaching the local special hockey team, or spending time with her family and friends.
