Lucy Maddrill serves as the Volunteer & Events Coordinator for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO), part of ElevateDD. In her role, Lucy leads the planning and execution of several DSACO programs and events, including the World Down Syndrome Day Celebration, the annual Summer Social, the iCan Bike Camp, and the Adopt-A-Family Program. She also oversees DSACO’s volunteer program, recruiting, training, and supporting hundreds of dedicated volunteers who make the organization’s mission possible. 

Lucy first joined DSACO in 2023 as an Event & Marketing Intern, later transitioning into the part time role of Volunteer Coordinator during her senior year at The Ohio State University. After earning her bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2025, she officially joined the team full time, bringing her passion for community engagement, event coordination, and inclusive programming into every project. 

With a strong background in marketing and a deep commitment to creating meaningful experiences, Lucy is dedicated to developing programs and events that celebrate people with Down syndrome and foster a sense of connection throughout the community. She is passionate about creating inclusive opportunities that bring people together, inspire creativity, and promote unity. 

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys trying new restaurants throughout Columbus, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
