Inclusion Scholarship Webinar

On Monday, April 22 from 12-1PM, we held our first webinar about eligibility and child care options in your community!

About Inclusive Child Care in Ohio

In October 2023, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Children & Youth Director Kara Wente announced the creation of the Ohio Promote Resources, Opportunities, and Meaningful Inclusion through Support and Education (Ohio PROMISE) program. This new initiative is focused on increasing quality child care services for children who have developmental disabilities.

The Ohio Department of Children & Youth offers financial assistance to eligible parents and guardians to help them with child care costs. Two opportunities available are:

Publicly Funded Child Care

Parents and guardians who are at or below 145% of the Federal Poverty Level with child care costs.

Inclusion Scholarship

Parents and guardians who are between 146%-200% of the Federal Poverty Level and recently denied publicly funded child care.

Child Care & Developmental Disabilities 2023 Report

Thanks to many colleagues, friends, and fellow advocates, we were able to valuable information from Ohio families whose children have developmental disabilities to learn more about their barriers and needs in child care.

We are honored to elevate their voices by creating this report to advocate for more opportunities to access inclusive, high-quality child care throughout Ohio.
